Embark on your healing arts journey with Urban Yoga
honoring yourself through your ancestral line. Release untruths trapped deep inside and set yourself free with new knowledge of thought.
Have you ever thought about becoming an educator of yogic practices?
Teaching the true lineage of yoga from an historic lens.
Are you the kind of person that people are drawn to?
Perhaps you’ve considered how to make a greater impact through energy work.
The Urban Yoga Educator Training is open for anyone willing to commit to an in-depth exploration of the history of yoga and mindfulness. Together we will explore the teaching and a shared relationship in understanding what it means to be present. What it means to meet people where they are and relearn together. Diving into the union that is yoga. You will be challenged to show up for yourself and release limiting beliefs.
After completion, you will have shared tools, resources and guidance to help create an anti-oppressive environment that is accessible for all to reclaim their wellness. Through breath movement, mindful meditation, and music, we heal and ignite the inner flame creating change.

What Students Had To Say...
“The extensive research and knowledge presented into the African presence in China as part of the Tao course was a welcoming addition to a yoga teacher training that at its core embodies restoring indigenous presence to practice.”
- Malaika S.
“Mya, thank you so much for your wisdom, strong teaching structure, and for allowing us to practice how to compose a guided meditation. I am progressing in how to turn my creative visions into words.”
- Shiovahn G.
“Learning about Anatomy and Physiology was never a strong point in school. So finding out I had to redo this class again, I was nervous. Marco Mooyoung really helped me get a better grasp on this course. I feel like I have a better understanding of the 11 systems of the body and the different types of movement.”
- Natalie R.
